The Southern Africa Tuberculosis Health System Support (SATBHSS) project which the Zambia Chamber of Mines is part of, is holding a workshop at Neem Park Lodge in Kabwe under the theme ‘Developing/Strengthening Compensation Guidelines’.
Dr. Mwiya Kamwala and Dr. Frederick Kaoma of member mines Konkola Copper Mines and Mopani Copper Mines respectively, are making presentations on employee medical programmes in the mines, compensation guidelines in the mines (medical discharge) and challenges in managing medicals for miners.
