Kalulushi Member of Parliament Hon. Kampamba Mulenga has commended Non-Ferrous Mining Corporation (NFCA) for its continued support to the local people.
NFCA donated an X-ray film processing machine worth ZMW95,000 to Kalulushi General Hospital on Tuesday, 27th August 2019. The hospital is the biggest health facility in the district and it also caters for patients from Lufwanyama district.
Ms. Mulenga said NFCA is rehabilitating Chibote Clinic in Kalulushi and building a staff house at Chibuluma clinic for a resident doctor.
“In Chibote, our mothers used to deliver on their way to the hospital, but you have come in to rehabilitate the clinic at Chibuluma,” she said.
Speaking at the same event Kalulushi District Commissioner Mr. Kenny Siachisumo appealed to NFCA to help rehabilitate the main hospital in the mining town.
Mr. Siachisumo said the hospital is in a deplorable state and needs urgent rehabilitation.
“Chambishi Non-Ferrous Mining Corporation is a friend in need. We would like you to help us renovate the district hospital because it’s falling apart,” he said.
