Call for Participation – 4th OHSE National Conference

The Zambia Chamber of Mines (ZCM) is pleased to announce that it will be holding its 4th National Conference on Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (OHS-E) on Thursday, 1st and Friday, 2nd November, 2018, at Protea Hotel-Marriot, Ndola.

The National Conference, introduced in 2014, provides a forum for promoting professional discourse and sharing of best practices in OHS-E in the mining sector through researched presentations and networking activities; complemented by an array of exhibitions on the sideline, by providers of OHS-E products and services. The Chamber considers promotion of sound Occupational Health, Safety and Environment practices as one of the key pillars for achieving sustainable and responsible mining, in line with its mission.

The Conference is recognised by the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) as Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activity; eligible participants are awarded 3 CPD points.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

The target group includes experts and practitioners in OHS-E, from industry, government, academia, research institutions, regulatory authorities, professional bodies.

SPEAKERS

The conference will bring together local and international speakers from academia, cooperating partners and industry; thereby providing excellent opportunities for learning, sharing experiences, collaboration and networking.
