BUILDING MINING COMPETENCE THROUGH GLOBAL EXCHANGE
Mining has been economic lifeblood for Zambia for over half a century and will remain so for at least another generation. The skills required by the industry are diverse – everything from artisan mechanics, fitters, riggers and metallurgists, to mining, electrical and electronics engineers.
To sustain suitable skills at KCM, the company has reintroduced the Global Leadership Programme (GLP), which places employees on attachments for up to one year at other operations of Vedanta Resources Plc, the London-listed diversified mining and resources group.
