The Zambia Chamber of Mines (ZCM) is pleased to announce that it will be holding its 5th National Conference on Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (OHSE) on Thursday, 31st, October and Friday, 1st November, 2019 at Protea Mariot Hotel, NDOLA.
The National Conference, introduced in 2014, provides a forum for promoting professional discourse and sharing of best practices in OHSE in the mining sector through researched presentations and networking activities; complemented by an array of exhibitions on the sideline, by providers of OHS-E products and services. The Chamber considers promotion of sound Occupational Health, Safety and Environment practices as one of the key pillars for achieving sustainable and responsible mining, in line with its mission.
The Conference is recognised by the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ)as Continuous Professional Development (CPD)activity; eligible participants are awarded 3 CPD points.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
The target group includes experts and practitioners in OHSE, from industry, government, academia, research institutions, regulatory authorities and professional bodies.
SPEAKERS
The conference will bring together local and international speakers from academia, cooperating partners and industry; thereby providing excellent opportunities for learning, sharing experiences, collaboration and networking.
